It is attractive in color and brightness, durable to the point of virtual indestructibility, highly malleable, and usually found in nature in a comparatively pure form.

Gold is widespread in low concentrations in all igneous rocks. Its abundance in the Earth's crust is estimated at about 0.005 parts per million. It occurs mostly in the native state, remaining chemically uncombined except with tellurium, selenium, and possibly bismuth. The element's only naturally occurring isotope is gold-197. Gold often occurs in association with copper and lead deposits, and, though the quantity present is often extremely small, it is readily recovered as a byproduct in the refining of those base metals. Large masses of gold-bearing rock rich enough to be called ores are unusual. Two types of deposits containing significant amounts of gold are known: hydrothermal veins, where it is associated with quartz and pyrite (fool's gold); and placer deposits, both consolidated and unconsolidated, that are derived from the weathering of gold-bearing rocks.

In Loving Memory of Bung Karno - 31st Anniversary of His Passing Away
Dr. Ir. Sukarno, known as Bung Karno was born in Surabaya, on 6 June 1901. His father Raden Sukemi Sosrodiharjo, came from royal family of king Kediri, and his mother, Ida Ayu Nyoman Rai, came from a noble family in Singaraja, Bali. Since he was young, he saw and felt oppression and injustice by the colonial government, which held almost three and a half century. The situation is getting worse by the feudal culture in society, which differentiate in social classes. That situation causes people sufferer, desperate and lose nation personality. Even though he came from a noble family, he didn't like feudalism. In his life, he fought for freedom, right similarity and democracy to realize national united and to increase the level of live people and nation. On 21 June 1970 he passed away and burried in Blitar, East Java. His thoughts and his struggles become aspiration Indonesia people which proffer for Bung Karno gained title as "Penyambung Lidah Rakyat Indonesia" (Conjunction of Indonesian People Tongues).
